Deerfield Park District

The Deerfield Park District's mission is to provide exceptional parks, services, facilities, and recreation programs that enhance people's lives, promote healthy living, and create unforgettable experiences. In September 2022, the Deerfield Park District adopted a five-year strategic plan to achieve this mission. The plan was developed through the collaborative efforts of staff members at all levels of the organization, along with the Board of Commissioners, and compiled by the district's Executive Director. Family Days in Deerfield

Deerfield Family Days will be hosting a new Sensory Friendly Area for individuals with special needs on July 4th from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The area is a partnership between the Deerfield Bannockburn Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce, Deerfield Lions Club, GiGi's Playhouse, KGH Autism Services, and the Village of Deerfield. The Sensory Friendly Area provides a separate and quieter space for those with sensory challenges and special considerations. It includes soft seating, games, and activities suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
